About Likrat Kalla
A story of chesed, community, and over two decades of helping Jewish brides.
Our Mission
Likrat Kalla (לקראת כלה — "Towards the Bride") is a 100% volunteer organization dedicated to providing needy brides in Israel with approximately 10 essential household gifts. We believe that every Jewish bride, regardless of financial circumstances, deserves to begin her marriage with dignity and joy.
Our History
Founded over 20 years ago, Likrat Kalla began as a small chesed initiative and has grown into a recognized organization supporting thousands of brides across Israel. From our earliest parlor meetings to large-scale distribution days filled with household gifts, every step of our journey has been fueled by the generosity of volunteers and donors like you.
Our Partnership with Lemaan Achai
Likrat Kalla operates under the trusted auspices of Lemaan Achai, one of Israel's leading chessed organizations based in Bet Shemesh. This partnership ensures full financial accountability, secure donation processing, and the organizational framework to serve brides across the country. All donations are processed through Lemaan Achai's secure, tax-deductible payment system.
100% Volunteer
Every person involved in Likrat Kalla — from administration to delivery — is a volunteer. 100% of every donation goes directly to purchasing gifts for brides. There are no salaries, no overhead surprises.
